Basmati rice
All Indian Cookaway recipes are made using only the finest quality pure basmati rice. Being labelled pure basmati means that the grains are tested for quality levels and can only be grown and harvested at the foothills of the Himalayas. The rice is aged naturally in the sun and then put through a gentle milling process where any broken grains are removed. This step is essential to the final texture of the rice as broken rice grains release starch when cooked which causes the basmati to become sticky. The level of care taken to produce this ingredient means that all rice dishes are guaranteed to have delicate fluffy texture and subtle but delicious flavour.
